Configuration Guide
This section discusses methods for quickly configuring settings, all of which can be configured on the options page of askone.ai. You can open the options page by following the instructions in the Sign-Up / Sign-In Guide
.
When quickly configuring, please pay special attention to the following large language model configuration instructions:
- We support generating several different types of predefined results with large language models, including translations, keywords, summaries, and questions. You can choose the same or different AI service providers and models for each type;
- Although your configuration is always valid, and we will request the large language model to generate results according to your configuration for each command, the quality of the generated results entirely depends on the understanding capabilities of the large language model you choose. In most cases, you will get the expected results.
- Available AI service providers and models in the configuration card are determined by your subscription plan. For details, please refer to the Pricing and AI Models.
- If you choose a paid large language model, there are two possible payment scenarios:
- You choose to use your own large language model access keys, and you need to pay the AI service provider directly;
- You choose to use the large language model access keys we provide, and we will collect the large language model fees and pay the AI service provider;
- There are two options for accessing large language models:
- Direct Access;
- Unified Access;
- You can configure the parameters generated by the large language model for different content sizes. Please refer to the Content Size for details.
1. General Configuration
General configuration includes the following settings:
1.1 Interface Language
The interface language refers to the language displayed on all interfaces of askone.ai. You can choose the interface language according to your needs. The following languages are currently supported:
- English (default)
- Simplified Chinese (planned)
1.2 Target Language
The target language refers to the language you specify for the large language model's output when interacting with askone.ai.
The currently supported target languages are:
- English (default)
- Simplified Chinese
1.3 Destroy Account
Destroying an account means you can permanently delete your account and all data on the options page of askone.ai. This action is irreversible.
WARNING
Please note that we have registered a Paddle account for you using your email and country or region for payment purposes. This data is stored by Paddle, and we cannot delete it, but we will stop using this data.
1.4 Logout
Logging out means you can clear your Sign-In status on the options page of askone.ai, and you will need to log in again next time.
WARNING
Please note that the Sign-In status is synchronized with the official website. This means that when you log in on the official website, the extension will also log in automatically, and vice versa.
2. AI Model Configuration
2.1 Extract Keywords
Keyword extraction configuration means you can select the large language model and configuration parameters used to extract keywords from content on the options page of the askone.ai extension. For more information on keyword extraction, please refer to Extract Keywords.
You can choose an appropriate large language model and configure its parameters according to your preferences. This means that each of your keyword extraction requests will use the large language model and parameters you selected.
TIP
The number of keywords extracted by the large language model can be adjusted according to your content size, and the feature can be disabled for specific content lengths.
2.2 Generate Summary
Generate Summary configuration means you can select the large language model and configuration parameters used to Generate Summary on the options page of the askone.ai extension. For more information on generating summaries, please refer to Generate Summary.
You can choose an appropriate large language model and configure its parameters according to your preferences. This means that each of your summary generation requests will use the large language model and parameters you selected.
TIP
The length of summaries generated by the large language model can be adjusted according to your content size, and the feature can be disabled for specific content lengths.
2.3 Generate Translation
Generate translations configuration means you can select the large language model and configuration parameters used to translate content on the options page of the askone.ai extension. For more information on generating translations, please refer to Generate Translation.
You can choose an appropriate large language model and configure its parameters according to your preferences. This means that each of your translation requests will use the large language model and parameters you selected.
TIP
Generating translations with the large language model is not affected by content size.
2.4 Generate Questions
Generate questions configuration means you can select the large language model and configuration parameters used to generate questions related to the content on the options page of the askone.ai extension. For more information on generating questions, please refer to Generate Questions.
You can choose an appropriate large language model and configure its parameters according to your preferences. This means that each of your question generation requests will use the large language model and parameters you selected.
TIP
The number of questions generated by the large language model can be adjusted according to your content size, and the feature can be disabled for specific content lengths.
2.5 Inline Chat
Inline Chat configuration means you can select the large language model and configuration parameters used for dialogue on the options page of the askone.ai extension. For more information on Inline Chat, please refer to Inline Chat.
You can choose an appropriate large language model and configure its parameters according to your preferences. This means that each of your Inline Chat requests will use the large language model and parameters you selected.
TIP
Inline Chat with the large language model is not affected by content size and always completes a dialogue related to your content based on your input and configuration.
3. Keymap
Keymap means you can configure your hotkeys according to your preferences on the options page of the askone.ai extension for quickly calling large language models. For more information on Keymap, please refer to the Keymap Guide

3.1 Trigger Key
Using Trigger Key + Mouse Hover
is our recommended method. You can configure your trigger keys on the options page of askone.ai.
askone.ai supports the following trigger keys:

+ Mouse HoverMeta / CMD
+ Mouse Hover
We preset hotkey default configurations for different operating systems. You can quickly complete the default configuration by clicking the corresponding operating system button. We will continue discussing how to configure trigger keys in the Keymap Guide

3.2 Reload
If you are not satisfied with the results generated by the large language model, you can call the large language model again. However, your hotkeys cannot be the same as the hotkeys for calling the large language model, otherwise, regeneration cannot be triggered.
askone.ai supports the following regeneration keys:

4. Access Keys
We recommend that you first use the freely available large language models and choose proxy access to quickly obtain a better experience while using askone.ai.
